Under Suspicion – Emissions of Laser Printers Harmful to Human Health

Welcome on our Website, which adresses to people affected by toner or pollutions from laser-printer-devices.
We are offering our help to people suffering from toner or emissions of laser printers for free.

Abstract

Worldwide millions of laser printers are charging indoor air with an unfiltered mix of particulate matter, nano particles and pollutants, such as heavy metals, DBT/TBT and VOC, like styrene and benzene. Inhaled nano particles are so tiny that they even reach the blood and the inner organs. They are blamed for toxic and allergic reactions in the lungs, for heart diseases and cancer.  For 15 years international scientific publications give valid indications of a global problem that obviously nobody wants to see.
International studies from Germany, England and Australia boost the suspicion:
Very often laser printers cause harmful pollution and they are blamed for irritation and inflammation of the respiratory tract, the eyes, the skin and headache as well as genotoxic effects.

More than 2.000 cases in Germany and more and more from abroad are already registered.. This is only the tip of the iceberg. It seems remarkable that 1.200 of the persons concerned use devices from only two printer manufacturers.

The disease usually starts like a simple cold which doesn’t stop. Very often it is the beginning of a severe chronic lung disease. In about two hundred cases medical doctors (Palm, 2006) succeeded in  proving that the toner caused the inflammation of the respiratory tract.

A lot can be done: laser printers should be placed in extra rooms with fresh air ventilation. Professional filters can be attached and professional cleaning and service reduces pollution as well.  Modern inkjets are the best solution: safe, fast and more and more cheaper than laser printers.
Further international scientific studies especially on the biological effects are necessary.
In April 2008, the international donation nano-Control (www.nano-control.de) was established to promote scientific research and solutions.

Caution:
Toner and emissions from laser printer are not only a scientific problem. They can pollute the air you breathe and may damage your lung and ruin your health.
If you suffer permanently from any kind of cold symptoms like sneezing, sniffing, cough, sore throat, asthma or inflammation of the eyes or the skin for no apparent reason, it might be that pollutions from your laser printer or photocopier is responsible for that. Please send us a MESSAGE and we will try to help you.
Your information will be treated confidentially. Our help is for free.
